What is Onchain AI Weekend?

​Onchain AI Weekend is happening from Feb 1st to 2nd across three cities: San Francisco, London and Bangalore. We want to enable today’s builders with the tools to create the onchain AI agents of tomorrow.

​Have an idea for an AI agent for a social, trading, Defi, chat, gaming or another use case? Come build it.

​The Prompt

​The goal is to create innovative, unique experiences that push the status quo of what’s possible using onchain apps. We’re looking for projects with practical value that leverage the benefits of being onchain, the programmability of MPC Wallets, and the customizability enabled through streamlined API calls. Feel free to integrate AgentKit!

​If you’re looking for ideas, here’s a few to get started:

• ​A social agent that attracts attention and builds a following.

• ​A trading agent that implements automated trading logic based on user defined parameters.

• ​A Defi agent that can help users understand protocol opportunities and risks.

• ​Chat agent that can help people find useful information.

​Submissions must be built on Base

Why Participate

​The Buildathon is open to all physical attendees and winners will receive over $10k in prizes (more details be announced). Plus all winners will receive:

• ​Marketing & Distribution: All winners will be featured on Base social channels (X, Warpcast and get to present live on Base Cafe)

• ​Network: Connections with some of the most prolific Base builders in your region, with direct access to the Base team.

👉 How it Works

​In order to be eligible, the projects must follow the below rules:

• Must submit one project per team.
• Teams can be 1-3 people
• Must be built on Base
• Must satisfy the prompt described above
• ​Must include a functioning onchain app at a publicly accessible URL
• ​Agent must have an associated X account where demos, links to repos and other info is posted.
• ​Must include an open-source GitHub repository for all source code in the app.
• ​Integrating Basenames and Smart Wallet is strongly recommended; they make it easy for anyone to get onchain.
• ​Must submit proof of 1+ transactions on Base mainnet or Base Sepolia testnet.
• ​The entry must be in a working format with a loom video posted to social media by the Sunday afternoon deadline.
• ​Must be code complete by the Sunday deadline.

• Originality: Innovation/originality to solve problems
• Practicality: Usable and accessible by anyone
• Wow Factor: Primarily measured on how well it performs its utility and intended purpose
