Decentralized Medical Data Marketplace
A blockchain-powered platform for secure medical data sharing and monetization
The problem Decentralized Medical Data Marketplace solves
-
Patient Ownership of Medical Data
Traditionally, hospitals and clinics store patient records, limiting patient access.
Our solution gives users full control over their own medical data via blockchain. -
Secure & Tamper-Proof Storage
Medical records are vulnerable to hacks, leaks, and data breaches in centralized systems.
Blockchain ensures immutable and secure storage, reducing risks. -
Seamless & Efficient Data Sharing
Healthcare providers often have incompatible systems, causing delays in accessing patient history.
Our platform enables instant, encrypted medical data sharing via IPFS & smart contracts. -
Fair Compensation for Medical Data
Currently, users don’t get paid when their data is used for research or AI training.
Our system rewards users with Privy tokens when they share anonymized medical data. -
AI-Powered Data Pricing
Medical data varies in value based on factors like age, health conditions, and risk factors**.
Our AI-driven model calculates a fair price dynamically for each dataset.
6 . Blockchain-Powered Data Authenticity**
Fake medical records and insurance fraud are common issues.
Smart contracts verify ownership and ensure authenticity before any transaction.
-
Privacy-Preserving Data Marketplace
Traditional health systems often misuse or sell patient data without consent.
Users have full control over who accesses their medical records. -
Revolutionizing Medical Research & AI Innovations
Medical researchers struggle to find real-world, high-quality datasets.
Our marketplace provides decentralized, diverse, and accurate medical data for AI/ML models. 🚀
9 . On-Chain Transactions for Transparency
Buying and selling medical data often lacks transparency and trust.
Ethereum smart contracts enable secure, automated, and traceable payments, ensuring fair compensation and fraud prevention in transactions.
Challenges we ran into
Throughout the development of this project, we faced several challenges, including:
Understanding and Implementing Web3: As Web3 is a relatively new technology, integrating blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized features was initially complex. We had to spend a considerable amount of time understanding its fundamentals and ensuring smooth implementation.
Ensuring Security: Security was a top priority, especially with handling sensitive user data in a decentralized environment. Protecting data against potential threats while ensuring the integrity of the blockchain was challenging.
Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensuring that the project would run seamlessly across various devices and browsers presented some technical hurdles. We had to ensure compatibility and smooth user experience despite different platforms.
User Interface (UI) Design: Designing a UI that was both functional and user-friendly in the context of Web3 posed challenges. We had to balance modern design with ease of use, particularly for users who may not be familiar with decentralized technologies.
Smart Contract Deployment: Testing and deploying smart contracts without risking loss of assets or funds was challenging. We had to test the contracts rigorously in a safe environment before moving to the live environment.
Despite these challenges, the project was an excellent learning experience and helped us push the boundaries of what we could achieve with Web3 technology.
